The Hunter 38ft. sailboat “Symbion ”, which was commissioned in `04, has proven to be a very comfortable and seaworthy boat. We are pleased to offer this boat for captained charters.

Ken will be captaining sail charters for an afternoon, full day or overnight.

Afternoon charters depart around noon for an excursion of three to four hours (depending on wind and weather) at the rate of $75/pp with a minimum of @$170/sail. We can also send additional pictures of the boat and directions for the departure location on Card Cove.

Full day charters start around 10am and return late afternoon. A lunch and beverages are included. The fee is $125/pp with a boat minimum of $300. There are several sailing possibilities, depending on the direction of the wind and the sailor’s wishes. Besides experiencing the beauty of the pine studded rockbound coastline and full ocean breeze, a full day sail allows the option of visiting an island. Either Eagle Island, with the State managed once summer home of Admiral Peary, or Sequin Island with its trail to the highest Atlantic coast lighthouse, museum and amazing 360 degree panoramic view, offers some time ashore at a special historic place. Park fees are covered by the charter. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Please inquire for special pricing to charter the boat for a private party or to reserve the boat for your own party of six. The captain is also a patient instructor for novice sailors or anyone wishing to take the helm.

Overnight adventures depart about noontime and return late morning. We prefer a minimum of 2 nights to a maximum of 4 nights. A full breakfast, a light lunch and dinner are included. You may bring your own alcoholic beverages. Overnight rates are $500/per night for a party of two & based on a minimum 2 nights sail. A single night overnight charter for a party of two is $600 based on availability.

Our sails are individualized. We suggest possible itineraries and will try to plot the course to follow your wishes. The captain does reserve the right to change, or cancel, a charter for safety concerns. Ken Brigham is a Coast Guard licensed Captain with over 35 years of sailing experience. The boat is fully equipped with gear and full electronics for your comfort and safety.

The B&B at Cundy's Harbor is open for hosting your visit to the area. We also have a house, an expanded and renovated waterfront home 40 feet from Card Cove in Harpswell, which is available for rent. The house has a separate one-bedroom apartment (open living space and wonderful water views) which is separately available for rent as well. We prefer to rent them for a week at the minimum, considering a shorter stay for either property when available. The sailboat has claimed Pinkham Point and Card Cove as her homeport and is moored off the property. We have our own pier and dock. If you have a kayak or canoe, it’s a great area for that too.
